Finally tried the Fit

[livejournal.com profile] aelf let [livejournal.com profile] annerism and me play with her Wii Fit Saturday evening and we both got hooked. In a fit of there's-nothing-on-TV-and-I-don't-want-to-do-laundry last night, I took my own Wii Fit for a spin.

The body test was appropriately disheartening and my chunky little bloated Mii was cruel but true. I started out the evening with a Wii Fit age of 43. After thirty minutes of games, I retested and dropped ten years off my Wii Fit age. Sweet. That hula hoop game is a killer, but I went from 81 hoops/loops/rotations/whatever to 289 once I figured out how to catch the other hula hoops being thrown at my Mii.

Surprisingly, I was sweaty and kind of tired after thirty minutes of running, jumping, gyrating and posing. I think this will be a decent alternative on those I-really-don't-want-to-go-to-the-gym days.

i do love me some wii fit....haven't done it in ages (due to sling and the associated balnace issues) but i think i really need to get back on it again....

i can't wait till thanksgiving...taking it up to the grandparents so that they all (and mom) can try it out....seeing my grandmother hoola hoop is going to be HIGHLY amusing

My mom's already poking me about bringing the wii home at Christmas. My brother -- who lives 10 minutes away from my mom -- has a wii, but won't bring it over. She's excited about trying the Fit.
