Kingdom Arts & Sciences Festival

KASF happened. I worked Troll, perused gorgeous displays, and visited with people I adore. Geeked about Early Period reenactment, bikes and trikes, Downton Abbey, the 1%, and exchequer stuff. SCA arts & sciences event: I'm doing it mostly wrong.

Nah. Sounds like you're doing it mostly right!

How, exactly?

In not focusing on the gist of the event. I did tour the open displays, but I never checked out the personal pentathlon area or the performance area. My conversations were not about SCA-period topics aside from asking [livejournal.com profile] stitchwhich for info about Norse reenactment for Scott. Although, now that I think about it, I did talk about the Anglo-Saxon horde display and the differences between 7th century and 10th century shoes and clothing as well as pewter casting and enameling. I was being extra critical of myself when I was at a low emotional point this morning. Now, that I feel better I can see that the event and what I did during it were okay.

There's a wrong way to do it?

The only way I think you can do it wrong is if you don't have a good time.

Lurve!
