Lego: Lord Vampyre's Castle

melaniesuzanneHere's another set from the Lego Monster Fighters series. I couldn't stop myself and snatched up Lord Vampyre's Castle before my birthday. This action alarmed Hubbyfink who didn't realize it was a different set from the Haunted House I'd requested. The castle came with Lord Vampyre, Lady Vampyre, two man-bats, and two Monster Fighters. By the time I photographed the castle, the monsters from the other sets had moved in.
The castle's exterior.
Lord Vampyre faces off against Rodney Rathbone. (Mr. Rathbone has a cybernetic leg.)
Various monsters stand ready to defend the castle from the meddling humans.
Lady Vampyre mixes up trouble.
I was about halfway through building this portion when I realized those were red curtains framing the coffin. Love it!
There's treasure in the attic.
It's a trap! Watch your step if you get too close to that treasure map room.
The oubliette doing what it does best.
Mr. and Mrs. Zombie waltz in the library. (Not seen: bookcase and Lego books!)
How adorable is that canopy bed?
Stairway to the roof.
The Mad Scientist plays a haunting tune on the pipe organ in the other attic.
Next up: The Hobbit!
