Weekend Update

I raked the postage stamp yard Friday night and chatted with my neighbor who was out in her postage stamp yard with her dogs. By Saturday afternoon, our yard was blanketed with a new fall of leaves. I'm now waiting until the other neighbor's cherry is bald before I take the rake back out.

Hubbyfink and I cleaned house Saturday and then headed up to boneshard and aelf's house for the annual October-November birthdays celebration. Delicious food (crab fondue, enough cheeses to choke a moose, coconut curry shrimp, and cakes of all types) and wooooonderful booze (mojito, scotch whisky, ginger liquer [hot!], and elderflower liquer [sweet!]). We all stayed up much too late for our aging bodies. Or at least, I did. I felt like death warmed over Sunday morning.

As luck would have it Sunday was my most scheduled day of the weekend. courtney_d_h introduced me to her amazing thrift store where we shopped and shopped and SHOPPED. I have seven new-to-me sweaters and work blouses for the price of one sweater from Lane Bryant. Then pirategirleee and I met up for "Zack and Miri Make a Porno", Kevin Smith's latest film. It was cute, but I don't think it needs a place in my DVD collection.

Oh!

Jeepfink was on fumes yesterday and I filled her up for less than $35. Dude!
