Random thoughts on a rainy day
Apr. 29th, 2009 11:11 amI'd never noticed before how fast earthworms move. They were all over the sidewalks this morning and most of them were downright speedy.
I'm not going to complain about my job because it allows me to fund my hare-brained decorating and remodelling schemes. However, I'm getting peeved at being hauled into random weeknight calls which interupt planned activities. I need to embrace the power of "no".
Hubbyfink stayed home today to play host while a maintenance guy checked out the scary crack in the sewing room wall. Sharp-eyed readers may have noticed one corner was left unpainted. There's a floor to ceiling crack in that corner and we feared there might be a foundation problem. (And since we live in a condo, the foundation is not our problem to fix.) Nope. It turns out the crack is the result of yet another Harry Homeowner "improvement". Something about the improper application of drywall and tape. At least it's a fairly easy fix.
And that's pretty much all the news that's fit to print. Enjoy the cooler weather and dampening down of pollen; I certainly am.
