Nov. 15th, 2009 02:19 pmStill no new nephew.
I do, however, have a new easel because the first one I purchased wasn't adjustable. D'oh. I've also found all my art supplies except for the workable matte spray fixative. Michaels and AC Moore have places for it on the shelves, but they're out. I'll keep looking. First drawing exercise -- three blind contour drawings of my hand -- went well. Today's exercise is a modified contour drawing of my hand holding an object and tomorrow's is a gesture study using charcoals.
This art stuff is daunting.
In other news, yesterday was pretty awful coughing-wise. I wound up sleeping on the couch so as not to disturb Hubbyfink with my explosive coughs. The Robitussin did NOT knock me out; I'll go back to Nyquil tonight. Today has been better in that I've actually had energy to do some minor housekeeping. It's the exhaustion which accompanies the coughing that's most aggravating.
Ah well. Enough loafing on LJ. I should head upstairs and draw.
