Happy

M. Oreo is home and our little family feels complete again. I am completely smitten with our long-legged friend; Hubbyfink may actually be more smitten. As we watched Oreo explore the craft room I told Hubbyfink, "I don't have any 'buyer's remorse' about him." Hubbyfink said that was good; otherwise, I was just going to have to get over it because he's already attached to Oreo.

Margie is less than thrilled with her new roomie. She's alternately hissing/growling at the craft room door and sniffing the carrier in which Oreo came home. She'll warm up eventually.

In work(-ish) news, yesterday I followed the US planning team to their new cubes in the F building of the Borg campus. So envious. They've got window cubes overlooking a courtyard filled with trees. And the lights are on. Again, so envious. I'll be moving from cell block D eventually -- my current cube farm will be rebuilt for another net security group -- and I hope hope hope I get one of the window cubes. Yeah, I'm sure it'll be chilly in the winter, but that's what my space heater and sweater are for. I'm in the middle of the room right now and still run my space heater every day I'm in the office.

I can't remember the last time I felt so content. I definitely want to continue this feeling.
