Wednesday
Leave home at 7:00am. Arrive at Ravenstreet at 11:30am. Gear and clothes get unloaded from the Jeep and into the pavilion just before the skies open up. There's a leak down one of the perimeter poles because the wind line is pulling too tightly across the roof. Moving the rope makes the leak go away. I call Scott to say that I want to come home (I cannot handle another watery Pennsic like last year's). Quick trip to town for pillar candles, shims for the bed, and a tasty, tasty Subway sandwich for lunch. Get back to Ravenstreet in time for another deluge. Caemfind arrives. I stay holed up in the tent for the rest of the afternoon alternately sleeping and rearranging furniture until I'm happy with the pavilion's decor. Alaric the Mad rips one of my table boards with his battery-powered circular saw; my trestle table is now the right depth. Delfina joins us for dinner.
Thursday
Alesia shows up. I finally don medieval clothes and make my initial run through the merchants. Delfina, Celia and I head over to Moraine State Park -- taking a tour through Banjo Country -- for a hot dog lunch and then a refreshing dip in the lake. There are suspicious warm currents, floating eyeballs and carnivorous fish. Hilarity ensues. There are hot showers at the lake. Sweet mystery of life, at last I've found you. We stop at the Pilot so Delfina can wash clothes and get back on site just before dark. Delfina introduces me to Your Inner Vagabond.
Friday
Cassie arrives. Delfina and I visit Blackhammer so I can drop off Ascelyn's livery and hang out at Ponte Alto where we see a Bog UFO. We go back to YIV. I stay up late with Delfina, waiting for Cat & Chris to arrive.
Saturday
I dress in my new Viking dress to surprise Edward when he arrives. My first stop is Raymond's Quiet Press for turtle brooches. Mrs. Raymond is sympathetic to my plight of being a time-traveller and not knowing what's right for the new persona. Edward's appreciative of my new outfit and bling when he arrives. I meet Kat and James while walking back from parking the Prius. Edward renews his contract with Eadric and Eadric takes on Ascelyn as a dependent. Blackhammer celebrates Violante's birthday with cakes and merriment. Edward and I finally wander back towards home with a stop at Gaukler's for an antiquities slide show. Rufina and John stop by.
Sunday
Terafan arrives. Instead of wading through the entire Atlantian entourage lined up for Opening Ceremonies so that I can take my morning shower, I race up to assist Celia at Troll for a couple of hours during the Sunday morning rush. The Ravenstreet ladies assemble outrageous hats for FFG's Mad Hatter Tea Party. Hilarity ensues. Ravenstreet meets up with FFG outside Mystic Mail for as a Shopping Amoeba. Mathilde, Ana, Edward, and I rest at YIV for refreshing bevvies and Turkish Delight. Edward and I hunt for Keilyn on the Serengheti and find Guenievre, Girard, Sunneva, Wistric, Sigurd, Ariana M., Geoffrey, Magdelena, Rosalind, Genevieve, Duchess Melisande and the Heir while hunting. After circling the 'gheti for hours, Edward and I decide to call it a night and wander back towards home.
Monday
Edward buys me boy clothes. Delfina and I work Troll with Allasondrea and Celia from 9pm to 2am. We are both quite punchy. Edward joins us around midnight, I think. Spartans, bad minstrels and good minstrels, oh my!
Tuesday
Known World A&S display at the barn. I wear boy clothes and leave lots of tokens. Cassie, Celia, Allasondrea, Delfina, and I attend the Pelican/Protege Meet & Greet. Good food and good company. I attend the BPAL Meet-n-Sniff where I trade 5ml of Absinthe to Danabren and sniff lots of Sabine's bottles. Edward packs up to go home. He stays as late as he can but eventually hits the road after a good long embrace and kisses. We all attend the Attack Laurel Party. Delfina and I head out to YIV and then take a late night stroll around the lake. The Golden Arches are visible from Enchanted Ground. I spot the Flying Spaghetti Monster in the trees. We cannot find Casa Bardicci.
Wednesday
Cassie and I attend Galeron's medieval music roundtable. We all go to Atlantian Court. We see the Drag Racers as we head out to Midnight Madness. Celia, Cassie and I wander through the crowds and watch jugglers for a while.
Thursday
Rainy day. Ravenstreet is awarded a blue ribbon from the Atlantian Heraldic Walking Tour. Anne and Tirloch arrive. Ponte Alto Court. Celia is granted a Court Barony. Aelfred serves a late spaghetti dinner for us and a couple of potential squires. We all mesh very well, starting off dinner by singing "On Top of Spaghetti". Anne takes lots and lots of very silly pictures. Cassie looks like Emperor Palpatine beneath her cloak. I am way too pooped for the Atlantian Spiked Punch party or the 15th Century Dance Revel.
Friday
There's no line at the ATM at 8am. Unfortunately, there is rain and I'm fairly soaked to the bone by the time I get back to camp. Anne, Celia, Cassie and I hit the merchants, paying special attention to coronets and jewelry and fabric. We started packing down our own pavilions and sheet walls, etc before the evening dew comes in. I wander over to FFG for roasted marshmallows and the Ladies Over 21 Party. Hijinks ensue. Delfina, Bel, Shen, and I head up to YIV for one last Turkish treat.
Saturday
We pack down the camp infrastructure to get it on the truck at 1pm. The canvas is dry from the heavy dew just in time. We get the personal pavilions down and packed around 4pm. Hrothny shows me her brand new penguin badge. Edward's going to be soooo envious. I drive through the North Gate at 4:50pm and cross my home's threshhold at 9:30pm, happy to be home but already wanting to go back.
