Last night Hubbyfink assembled our Rock Bank 2 instruments so he, pirategirleee, and I could let loose with our inner rockstars. We had a blast and Hubbyfink and I both fell asleep wanting to rock out a little more (but it was much too late and we were both very tired). By the way, PG, we unlocked the "Hello, Cleveland!" acheivement by playing the game last night. ;)

I've decided that I enjoy playing the drums more than singing. I spent the better part of the evening pretending to be a Nirvana-era Dave Grohl (or perhaps more aptly, Sheila E). I'm pretty good on the "medium" setting. We're going to need to download some new songs fairly soon.

you know, if you ever have another such gathering, I'd LOVE to check Rock Band out. Or maybe I have the gathering and you bring the periphenalia over? Of course, this assumes there is anything on the disk from my generation of class rock. (Queen maybe?)

Sure! It's an Xbox 360 game so it won't travel as easily as if it were a Wii game (we could just leave the console and controllers at home if that were the case)... I'm having an absolute blast! Tonight I was able to play some Bad Company, Fleetwood Mac, Talking Heads, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and a few other groups I remember from my misspent college years. I'm sure there's a Queen song or two to unlock; plus, we can purchase songs from the Rock Band online store and pull songs off the Rock Band 1 game disc.
