Projects are almost complete (and TV)

I realized that my gamurra sleeves are just a skosh too short to pin to the dresses. A quick eyelet at the top of each sleeve and a lacing ring on each shoulder strap of every dress fixed that little problem.

I tried making a full cuffia (coif) last night but having too few brain cycles left provided me with a less than satisfactory result. I have jettisoned making any of these until next month at the earliest.

I have also jettisoned finishing the pink gamurra from the project list. Maaaaaybe I'll take it to Pennsic and do the handwork in camp. Maybe.

I have figured out which hat I will wear to the Mad Hatter Tea Party. Muahahaha!

I'm two days in to "Torchwood: Children of Earth". I didn't read under anyone's lj-cuts about the mini-series, but I couldn't help but notice all the emotional posts in plain view at the end of the series. Now that Gwen has told Rhys she's pregnant, I bet that Rhys' days are numbered and she's going to end up a widow. If I'm right, DON'T TELL ME. I don't want to be spoiled.

In other TV news, I've got the DVR set for "Being Human" (vampires AND werewolves? It makes both Hubbyfink and me happy [we're both ehh about the ghost]) and "Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead". We should be home from Land Grab in time to watch DW, but I'm taking no chances. I can catch up on "True Blood" via OnDemand so I don't have to give up precious DVR space for that show.

Oh hey, "Coraline" and "Robot Chicken: Star Wars Special Episode Two" are out on DVD. I might have to snag those and "Children of Earth" when the latter is released next week.

Ooooh. I like your speculation.

That's all I'm saying.

This has gone tooooo far! you have become a crazed costumer!! Watch out world!

LOL

Seriously, I can't wait to see your creations in person so we can geek -- Might there be some commissions in your future.

Slightly turning green--

*laugh* I'm crazed because I'm removing projects from my list? :)

I can't wait to see you, too! Just over a week. :)

We

We are

We are liking this show.

I haven't watched 2 yet (see cleaning spree on my last post, plus the husband was at his gaming night, so I thought I'd be nice and wait until he gets to see it too). The plan is to somehow clean, go out to dinner, AND watch 2 and 3 tonight. So I haven't read your speculation. I will after I watch tonight tho. :)

It's interesting, one of the Dr. Who podcasts I listen to (Radio Free Skaro) tends to hate Torchwood. And they adored this mini-series. It was funny to hear them eat crow for the first few moments of their review show (until I had to turn it off to avoid spoilers).

Heehee! We are, too. :)

Yeah, the speculation is based upon a spoiler from Day 2. I've added a little more to the LJ cut text so I don't spoil a plot point for anybody who is just looking for speculation.
