Lumberton, MS
Hubbyfink and I are seriously considering this trip. We've been talking about travel logistics such as trailer or van rental and overnight stays at my folks' home.* We'd bring our Pennsic gear, including the pavilion. I hear there are cabins on site, but I've NEVER slept well in a cabin because of all the other people and other people noises.
I'm still waiting for information to be posted to the Gulf Wars website so I have a better idea of what to expect. I've heard wonderful things about this War and I'm looking forward to experiencing it for myself.

*Per Googlemaps, the most direct route from Sterling to Lumberton is about 15.5 hours. Driving through Memphis adds another three hours to the trip, but it allows us a good night's sleep before setting up camp. It's only 5.5 hours from Mom's house to King's Arrow Ranch (although, I may have to tack another 20 minutes onto the trip just so we can drive through Hattiesburg and I can see my old stomping grounds). I'm going to talk with Mom about crash space for others if we wind up being part of a caravan heading down to Mississippi. It's not like she doesn't have the space for lots of people.
