Wanderlust

It's pulling at me again. I've lived in northern Virginia longer than I lived in Heth, Arkansas, and I'm a year shy of equaling the entire amount of time I lived in Arkansas. I don't know where I want to go... "The west" keeps calling me. Perhaps the 'fink and I should explore.

the pacific north wet is lovely all year 'round as long as you dont mind a bit of moss :)

I second this! You should totally move over here, we'd love to have you!! We'd even throw a big party for you. ;)

The "pacific north wet"? Is that a Freudian slip? ;)

We did love Seattle so very much and the architecture was to. die. for. *wistful sigh*

Kansas City has nice people. ;)

I know it has at least two nice people. :)

I so hear you. I spend way too much time on real estate web sites.

[identity profile] melaniesuzanne.livejournal.com 2010-07-28 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
Do you have a preferred site? :)

[identity profile] chargirlgenius.livejournal.com 2010-07-28 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
I like redfin.com the best where they have service area. Otherwise, I rely on zillow, trulia, and realtor.com. Well, my other favorite site is http://www.immoweb.be/en/, but that might not help you much. ;-)

(Just dreamin'... If we weren't tied to the DC area, at least for now, I'd move to the PacNW in a heartbeat.)

You might try the burbs of San Jose. SCA life is awesome there. The San Francisco Area has Redwood forest, agriculture, major tech firms, and it's close to a bunch of awesome places.

My other recommendation would be San Diego. Potrero war is good enough to move to San Diego just for that... But San Diego is just gorgeous.

I don't know much about An Tir. Hit up Katharine if you are really thinking about the Pac NW.

I'm considering more cost-of-living and job-availability rather than SCA groups, to be honest. That knocks the Bay Area completely out of consideration. :)

I've been to Seattle and fell head over heels in love with the area. The damp is a fairly big concern, though.

This is mostly daydreaming anyway.
