I love how the orange leaves on the apple and cherry trees in our neighborhood are glowing this week. The grass is still a deep green from the recent rain and the street is a dark blue-grey. When I rise in the morning, I can see all these outdoor colors from my bed.

I brought the rose and gardenia inside before the first freeze and the rose started blooming again. When I was in the Man Palace on Sunday, I noticed that the gardenia had put out a flower. That rotten plant hasn't bloomed since early May! I guess they like the Man Palace.

Some Bailey's last night and Dayquil today have made me feel several percentage points better than yesterday.
