I managed to sell a few things at Holiday Faire which then enabled me to purchase a few other things at Holiday Faire. I went home with more money and with fewer items than I'd brought. Win/win. I also managed to stay warm thanks to longjohns, socks, wool stockings, two wool dresses, and veils. The rugs I brought for the back of our stall also helped with keeping the chill of my toes.

Alle Psallite's mid-afternoon performance in the non-merchant hall was well attended. The people I spoke with afterwards said we sounded good; it felt like we sounded good during the performance, but I was at the back of the group and could only hear myself and Cassie.

Hubbyfink bugged out early -- the noise level in the merchant hall fries him pretty badly every year -- and I dined with a gaggle of friends at a steakhouse afterwards. I must've been starving: the salad was the tastiest thing I'd ever eaten, but I know it wasn't that good.

Great company, good deals, good performance, great day.

Your Hubbyfink is a champion yarn-winding assistant, btw. He sat and kept me company while I turned a skein into a ball, and twigged on to how to guide the yarn off the chair pretty quickly (and without my asking!).

It was lovely to see you both :)

He told me about hanging out and gabbing with you. I'm so envious. :) We'll have to schedule some non-SCA time with you and your hubby.

That would be fabulous-- we definitely need to develop a social life.

Every time I walked by your booth it was far too crowded to get in and say hello to you guys or see what you had for sale. I'm guessing this makes for a good day. ;)

Our stall was a bit too chaotic with five people selling so many unloved items... :( Did you have a fun day? Did you get to fight?

Hm... I appear not to be getting notifications either.

Despite almost not making it out of the house at all (it was a really slow morning) I had a pretty good time; did a little fighting, a bunch of watching, and succumbed to some of the re-spun sari silk yarn that I've been drooling over for some time now. Not too much shopping, but since we ordered wedding rings on friday, that's probably ok.

I could hear most of the group (advantage of being on the end of the line of singers), but also wondered about how well we were being heard. Evidently well enough given that when we ended people did ask for more! And Siegfried was told that he could be heard as the one and only bass, so sound was carrying well enough.

Noise level got to me too. After the performance, and some socializing, I sat down on the floor in our camp's booth. Being down below the level of the tables helped cut the sound a little bit and enabled me to regroup. Plus, I've also found that veils help me -- by gently muffling the noise all day long it takes longer for it to get to me.
