I. Cannot. Wait. To. Go. Back. To. The. Office.

Srsly.

I can't decide if I'm not stir crazy because I've been telecommuting all week or if I am stir crazy because I've been stuck telecommuting instead of working on house/costuming/exchequer projects. Hubbyfink's been kind enough to drive me around a few nights this week so I can get a change of scenery. (I've been too unsure about driving on all the ice and snow.) He wants me to take the Jeep out for a while tomorrow so that 1) I will no longer be housebound and 2) he can dig out the Prius without the Jeep in the way.

In other news, the cats have had their noses pressed against the storm door watching and chittering at the birds dining on the bowl of seed I set in a snowbank yesterday. Good kitty TV. Way too cold for smellovision, though.

In other other news, Bossman sent me the numbers for the short term incentive (bonus) which will show up in my paycheck next week and for this year's pay increase. I am happy with both and looking forward to buying a new vehicle in March.

Did you get a chance to make the sausage & cheese soup while you were cooped up? What is your review? Did you tweak it? If so, how?

I did! I made the soup last Friday. It smelled absolutely divine on the stove, but something didn't gel right (I think my potatoes were on the edge of going off) and it wasn't as divine as I expected. I'll give it another try, though, and probably halve the recipe. I was surprised by how much soup I wound up with! :)

The raise doesn't go into effect until March 21st so I figure that layoffs will happen the week of Gulf. I want to wait until that next round is over before I tempt fate by buying a new car. :)

Long story, short: Nope. I'll get the car the week after, most likely.
