Dreaming of the weekend

Before I get to the weekend part, though, I want to note that today was the first day I did not drag my carcass out of bed. I actually felt good this morning. I would have felt even better had Oreo not crawled under the comforter and attacked my bedmouse-like feet through the sheet. It's not too bad when the comforter protects tender feet from sharp claws; it's very bad when there's only a sheet between feet and claws. He's still learning the rules of the house and testing boundaries. I have to remind myself that Margie and Basil tried my patience and nerves when they were adolescents.
But, the weekend. The Herndon Festival starts tonight. I don't know if I'll head over Friday or Saturday, but I'm definitely going. I'd like to find something fun and funky for the nieces' third birthday gifts. I'm going to hit the Sterling Farmers' Market Sunday morning, too. On Sunday afternoon, Hubbyfink and I will be in Annapolis for the twins' birthday party.
At some point, I want to drag the roof of the pavilion up to the craft room and decorate it a bit more with paint. I've had some ideas about how to spruce up the straight lines and make the roof more spiffy. Based on Oreo's behavior whenever I'm in the craft room, I will absolutely have to banish all four-leggeds from the room while I paint. Seeing Basil's blue footprints on the tent walls this weekend made me smile, but we don't need blue footprints on the roof as well.
T-minus one week until I'm in a cube next to a window. Wheeeee!
