melaniesuzanneSomehow I managed to run into a sleep deficit this weekend and I'm continuing to run on near empty. I had a coke Saturday night to ensure that I would get myself and my carload of friends home safely from Markoff's and the Leesburg IHOP and I'm drinking a coke now to ensure I don't faceplant into my keyboard. I should've taken a nap yesterday afternoon but there were too many last-minutes to take care of before showtime.
Makeup removal was both easier and more difficult than I'd imagined it would be. The white face, black eyeliner pen, and red lip liner pencil came right off with a cleansing wipe. The blue eyeshadow, on the other hand, stubbornly held onto my skin. I rubbed and rubbed and rubbed. I added water and soap. I used eye-makeup remover. And still it stubbornly clung. I went to bed with a blue "mask" around my eyes. Joy and rapture. After the morning's shower, I was able to remove a little more of the blue, but there are still a few traces around my lash line. So, next time I know to put the eyeshadow on top of the whiteface and not my skin. Yarp.
I'm feeling hollowed out by Dave's passing and my heart aches for Hannah. I am trying to compartmentalize my feelings so I can get through the day, but I did catch myself barking at some folks from sales who decided to harass me at just the wrong time.
